TITLE

Alliance for the Status of Missouri Women [ASMoW]
   

DESCRIPTION

The mission of the Alliance for the Status of Missouri Women [ASMoW or Alliance] is to improve the status of women in Missouri.  ASMoW strives to function as an umbrella organization connecting the dots between women’s issues and appropriate service providers, individuals, and advocacy groups.  Through a democratic process, ASMoW solicited input from individuals across the entire state and developed seven issues strategic agenda for Missouri women.  The purpose of the ASMoW website is to provide a:

  • Visible public presence for the Alliance and its members;
  • Single point of contact for interested individuals and organizations;
  • Central repository for resources and disseminating news and documents
  • Enhance the sense of community among ASMoW members and partners

The seven priority issues of the ASMoW 2005 Women’s Agenda are health care; education; earnings equality; childcare; family planning; women political candidates; and increased female voter participation.
